What Is KGeN? Project, Token, Airdrop, Roadmap Explained

KGeN (Kratos Gamer Network) is a blockchain-based reputation system designed to connect gamers, developers, and their communities within the kgen crypto ecosystem.

KGeN focuses on verified identity, fair reward systems, and unique distribution models, aiming to onboard millions users to Web3 gaming. This article covers all you need to know about this project including its foundation, tokenomics, airdrop system, and future roadmap.

What is KGeN?

KGeN, previously called Kratos Gaming Network, is a protocol for Web3 gaming that focuses on reputation and distribution, aiming to merge gaming, identity, and rewards into one cohesive experience.

The primary objective is to develop verifiable, data-rich profiles for gamers using Zero-Knowledge Machine Learning (zkML), allowing players to keep control over their data and identity.

Moreover, the project provides gamified tools for user acquisition and engagement, assisting game publishers in optimizing their acquisition costs and enhancing lifetime value.

This ultimately helped to grow the Web3 gaming landscape.

KGeN Five Key Dimensions

Proof of Human

Establishing that there’s a real person behind the user persona is key to building trust within the network.

Proof of Play

Measuring how much and how intensely a user engages with the game and KGeN platform gives us valuable insights into their habits and preferences.

Proof of Skill

Assessing a user’s abilities and expertise across various engagement types helps us recognize and celebrate their skill growth over time.

Proof of Commerce

Acknowledging the economic activities within the KGeN ecosystem allows us to capture users’ contributions and transactions in the marketplace.

Proof of Social Network

Charting users’ social interactions and connections within the community highlights their role and influence among their peers.

KGeN Token

For those following kgen token news, the KGEN token serves as the primary utility token for the KGeN protocol, playing a key role in governance, protocol staking, incentive mechanics, and potentially oracles, among other uses.

On the other hand, the rKGEN token is a reward token that’s been deployed on the Aptos blockchain before the Token Generation Event (TGE).

It fully follows the Aptos Fungible Asset Standard (AFAS). Users earn rKGEN through their activity on the platform, making it a way to showcase contributions.

You can stake rKGEN to earn rewards. Once the TGE occurs, you can exchange rKGEN for KGEN at a 1:1 ratio. The total KGEN supply caps at 1 billion tokens, with 40% allocated to the community. Of that, 8% will unlock at the TGE.

At the time of the TGE, 12.6% of the total token supply will be made available, not counting the amounts locked with exchanges or market makers. The team and investors will have their tokens locked up for four years.

KGeN Fundings

KGeN has successfully raised a total of $43.5 million as of the latest funding round disclosed in September 2025.

The most recent round brought in $13.5 million and was strategically led by Jump Crypto, with support from Accel and Prosus Ventures.

Prior to this, KGeN secured $20 million in a seed round back in January 2023. Then, in late 2024, they raised another $10 million during an ecosystem round, with key supporters including Aptos Foundation, Polygon Labs, Game7, and others.

Following the ecosystem round, KGeN’s fully diluted valuation was reported at $500 million. The seed round in 2023 was conducted at a fully diluted valuation of $150 million.

The funds are intended to enhance KGeN’s protocol infrastructure, known as the “Verified Distribution Protocol” or “VeriFi,” along with its identity and reputation framework (POGE), loyalty infrastructure, and commercial stack.

The company is also looking to expand into more markets, as the platform is already operational in over 60 countries. A portion of the funding will be used to speed up this global expansion.

KGeN Roadmap

While some details like exact timings, phase durations, intermediate metrics, and release dates remain undisclosed, the roadmap still provides a general overview.

The roadmap is partly aspirational, and some planned or in-progress features are not yet active. The GitBook (official documentation) contains a section titled “Future Roadmap” under the KGeN Foundation site. Examples of features on the future roadmap include:

  • Fully decentralizing the PoG and reputation infrastructure in several phases, ultimately involving node operators, decentralized storage, and performance-driven rewards.
  • Enhance the utility of the $KGEN token, strengthening its role in activities such as KGeN Play and the KGeN Gaming Oracle Network.
  • Drive innovation by working alongside developers and partners to explore new token-based models, from tournaments and content creation to advanced reputation systems.
  • Empowering local communities by funding educational programs, supporting initiatives from clan leaders, and hosting community events.

KGeN has also made reference to a VeriFi Roadmap (VeriFi = Verified Distribution Protocol) on social media to demonstrate its short and long-term objectives

How To Withdraw Airdrop From KGeN

KGeN airdrop withdrawal will be done in two phases: first through rKGEN (reward token) and later converted into KGEN (main token) at TGE.

KGeN distributes airdrops in stages:

  • Phase 0 (“OG Tribe”): is for early adopters who signed up before December 31, 2024 (with the snapshot already taken).
  • Phase 1 (“New Tribe”): is for the users who engage with the KGeN quests, campaigns, and partnerships, and is currently ongoing since 2025.

Each phase will capture and snapshot eligible wallets during a date that is not released beforehand.

  • Head to the official KGeN Claim Page (either through kgen.io or their GitBook).
  • Connect to your wallet (typically MetaMask or a suitable Web3 wallet).
  • If you are eligible, you will be able to claim the rKGEN.
  • If you wish to earn more rewards, claim it and stake.

KGeN Airdrop: Conclusion

KGeN isn’t just another gaming token; it’s a whole ecosystem that transforms how gamers showcase their achievements, earn rewards, and engage in decentralized spaces.

With its cutting-edge rKGEN – KGEN airdrop model and a detailed multi-phase roadmap, this project is paving the way for sustainable growth and lasting adoption. Let’s look at some of KGeN strengths and weaknesses.

Advantages

  • Prominent supporters include Jump Crypto, Accel, Aptos, Polygon, and Prosus, with more than $43M raised, adding to trust and funding.
  • KGeN solves trust problems with Proof of Gamer (PoG) and zkML by crafting verified gamer identities.
  • Phased airdrops (from rKGEN to KGEN) give 40% of tokens to the community. This ensures early-game supporters are compensated.
  • Adoption is further expanded by partnerships with game publishers, the Web3 ecosystem, and activities spanning over 60 countries.

Disadvantages

  • Having objectives such as the decentralized oracle and K-Store is good, but the team needs to set reasonable timelines and define clear execution plans to achieve them.
  • The system with rKGEN to KGEN, snapshots, staking, and different phases looks like the source of confusion for the casual user, this can serve as a hindrance to widespread acceptance.
  • rKGEN being non-transferable means real value only arrives at TGE, and having what seems like the only redeemable $KGEN during this time may turn a lot of users away.

If this is the case, and demand for $KGEN is weak after the launch, any hype lost during this period is unlikely to return, and investors should not ignore the potential risks.
